Sundance Now is a subscription streaming service for fans of independent films, true crime stories and documentary features.
The service, which is owned and operated by AMC Networks, offer television series including exclusives, movies and their own original content.
For now, it is only available in the United States, US territories and Canada with plans to expand to other locations soon.

By doing so you can use your login credentials with the service’s apps on whichever device you choose to watch on or simple stream in your browser. You also don’t have to pay any other fees, for example a Prime Video subscription if you don’t already have Prime.

1. Create your account
You will only need to add your email address and create a password to create your account.

Get Sundance Now on The Roku Channel
The Roku Channel is another option for getting a Sundance Now free trial. This is a free app available for users of Roku TVs and devices.
On the Roku Channel, viewers can watch free movies and TV shows as well as live TV and sport. You can also subscribe to premium channels like Sundance Now.

For only $2 more than the subscription fee the standalone Sundance Now service, you can also get full access to Shudder, IFC Films Unlimited and content from AMC, The Walking Dead Universe and BBC America.
If you just want to watch the content from Sundance Now, then you can save the $2 and subscribe directly. However, it means that you’ll miss out on subscribing to the other channels for just $2.

What’s On Sundance Now?
Sundance Now has lots of titles you won’t find anywhere else. They carry both series and movies, some of which are exclusives.
You won’t find any big Hollywood blockbusters here. Rather, the films are more film festival fare, eye-opening documentaries and intriguing international thrillers.
They also have a handful of original series like Riviera and A Discovery of Witches. The Long Shadow is also one of Sundance Now’s most popular offerings. Many of the series are also exclusive to Sundance Now.
To engage viewers, some movies are grouped into collections. These collections contain a number of films with a common theme or sub-genre.
For example, some collections currently in the members area are “Sultry Scandal” which contain 16 titles, “Political Thrillers” with 13 titles and “If You Loved Riviera (Watch These Next)”.
Price After Sundance Now Free Trial
Subscribing to Sundance Now costs you $6.99/monthly which is billed when the 7-day free trial expires.
You can essentially cut the cost down to $4.99/month by choosing to be billed annually instead. If you do this then you’ll be billed a recurring $59.99 after the free trial period and every year until you cancel.
Promo codes do exist if you want to further reduce the subscription cost.
