Lifetime is a basic cable channel that develops programming mainly for women. They produce their own original movies which are largely based on factual events. These movies are what make up the content library of Lifetime Movie Club.
Lifetime Movie Club has over 2000 movie titles available to be watched on their subscription streaming service.
The service is available to subscribers in the United States on all devices including Android, iOS, Roku, AppleTV and more. You can also access it in your browser via their official website.
Fans of Lifetime movies can watch on-demand and commercial free for just $4.99/month starting with a 7-day free trial.
On this page, I’ve included information that you may need to know about Lifetime Movie Club and how to easily start your 7-day free trial. Please read on to get started.
How To Get A Lifetime Movie Club Free Trial
Like most streaming services, Lifetime Movie Club free trials are only available to new customers.
The service is available in the United States on most platforms so you can download the app on mobile whether you are using iPhone or Android smartphones or tablets.
You can also subscribe through Apple TV, via Roku or on Chromecast. The simplest way is to just go to their official website and sign up there. Lifetime Movie Club is also available as a premium channel on Amazon Prime Video channels and on The Roku Channel.
Below, I’m going to walk you through subscribing directly on the Lifetime Movie Club website, on Amazon Prime Video channels, and on The Roku Channel.
Start Lifetime Movie Club Free Trial Directly
The best way to join Lifetime Movie Club with a free trial is probably directly through their website.
When you subscribe this way, there are certain advantages over subscribing in other ways.
- Only one subscription to worry about and nothing else to cancel.
- Use your login credentials to log into any of the official apps on all devices
- Watch in an app or directly in your browser.
- You have the option of choosing an annual plan or a bundle to save some money
To get started with the Lifetime Movie Club free trial directly through their website, click on the “Start a free trial to watch” button and continue the signup process as outlined below.
1. Choose a subscription plan
There are two basic plans to choose from when subscribing to Lifetime Movie Club. There’s an annual plan that lets you save 15% by paying $49.99/year and there’s the monthly plan where you pay $4.99/month.
In most cases, you wouldn’t be able to choose an annual plan when subscribing anywhere else – only through the Lifetime Movie Club website.
There is also a bundle plan available where you can get A&E Crime Central, History Vault and Lifetime Movie Club together for $9.99/month.
2. Create your account with first name, email and password
To get started, you need to enter your first name, email address and choose a password to create your account.
Click continue to go on to the next step.
3. Choose a payment method
Next, you choose how you would like to pay for Lifetime Movie Club. The options are credit/debit card and gift card.
If you’re taking the free trial, you cannot use a gift card. Gift card users already have a subscription that has been paid for and cannot get a free trial in addition to a gift membership.
The only option left is to choose credit or debit card for payment. There is no PayPal option unfortunately for users who want to use PayPal.
4. Enter your payment info
After choosing your plan, you will need to enter your payment information. All credit card types are accepted but there is no option to choose PayPal.
Your card will not be charged at this step. Instead it is placed securely on file so that they can charge you automatically when your free trial expires.
You can cancel at anytime to avoid being charged.
5. Confirm your subscription
The final step in the sign up process is to confirm your subscription. If you have a promo code, you can add it here. You can also decide if you want to change your plan or your payment type.
If everything is good, click the subscribe button to complete your payment and start watching Lifetime movies.
Get Lifetime Movie Club on Prime Video
Another great way to subscribe to Lifetime Movie Club with a 7-day free trial is to add it as a premium channel on Amazon’s Prime Video channels.
Prime Video Channels let you add all sorts of premium channels to your existing Prime account and they always come with a 7-day free trial. You can add channels like Hallmark Movies Now, Britbox and BroadwayHD.
If you don’t already have Prime Video, it comes with a full 30-day free trial so you can explore movies and add whatever channels you like.
To add Lifetime Movie Club on Amazon, follow the steps below.
- Go to the Lifetime Movie Club channel page on Prime Video.
- Click on the “More details” button on the channel banner.
- Click on the “Start Your 7-day free trial” button.
- Confirm your details on the next page.
- Click on the “Start Your Free Trial” button to start watching.
Amazon will not charge you until your free trial is over and you can cancel anytime to avoid being automatically charged.
Cancelling Lifetime Movie Club
If you just want to see what’s available on Lifetime Movie Club and maybe watch a few movies then you may want to know how to cancel to avoid being charged.
Cancelling depends on where you originally signed up for Lifetime Movie Club. If you signed up with Apple TV for example, then you’ll need to cancel via Apple TV.
Here, I’m going to show you how to cancel Lifetime Movie Club if you signed up via the website. It’s a very easy process but I’m going to show you how to cancel and what happens during the cancellation process.
1. Go into “My Account”.
In the top right corner, find your profile name and click the drop-down button. Click on “My Account” to go into your account settings.
2. Click on Cancel Subscription link
Find the “Cancel Subscription” link on the page and click to continue cancelling.
3. Complete your cancellation
There’s a message of assurance that you can continue to enjoy Lifetime Movie Club until your free trial expires. You’ll also see the date when your trial expires.
You have two choices, go back to abort the cancellation or click the “complete cancellation” button to cancel.
4. Get a savings offer of 50% off
Before you can complete the cancellation process, Lifetime Movie Club has an offer to try to keep you as a customer.
This is the reason I suggest you cancel during your free trial as there are sometimes savings that you would not get if you just let your payment bill automatically.
Lifetime Movie Club offers the next three months at $1.99/month, which is a savings of 50% for the next three month.
If you’re interested in this deal then you can choose it instead of cancelling. However, click the “complete cancellation” button on the other side to cancel.
5. Complete the exit survey
Time for another survey. Lifetime Movie Club wants to know why you’re cancelling.
The survey takes 2-3 minutes to complete and has about 6 questions. I took the survey but you may be able to click on the X in the right hand corner of the window to skip it.
After completing the survey, you can confirm that your membership has been cancelled. It should save “Current Status: Cancelled” right in your account settings area.
Lifetime Movie Club Price After Free Trial
After your free trial expires, you’ll be charged $4.99 recurring free each month until you cancel.
If you subscribed through the Lifetime Movie Club website, you have the option to choose the annual plan and save 15%. In this case, you’ll be charged $49.99 when your free trial expires and every year until you cancel.
The price you pay after your free trial is always shown to you when you subscribe. On the Lifetime Movie Club website, during the confirmation step, you can also use a promo code to get extra savings or possibly extend your trial period.
In all cases where you get a free trial, you can cancel any time to avoid being charged. You’ll be able to complete your free trial and service will end when the trial expires.
What Movies Are On Lifetime Movie Club?
The great thing about Lifetime Movie Club is that there are only movies to watch on the streaming service. No series, no specials and no shows from Lifetime.
Lifetime produces their own movies and some they acquire to become Lifetime Originals. These are all aired on Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network then they become part of Lifetime Movie Club.
Lifetime Movie Club sometimes have exclusive premieres and these can be found within the members area under Lifetime Movie Club Premieres.
If you’re familiar with the Lifetime original movie formula, many of the titles are based on true stories or “ripped from the headlines” styled movies. You’ll find movies like
- Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secrets
- Believe Me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey
- Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story
- Left For Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story
- Stolen by My Mother: The Kamiyah Mobley Story
- I Was Lorena Bobbitt
- Cocaine Godmother: The Griselda Blanco Story
There are also lots of fiction based movies about romance and suspense. You can see them all on Lifetime Movie Club, commercial free, with a 7-day free trial.
