How To Cancel Showtime Free Trial
Showtime gives a free trial of either 7 or 30 days depending on where you subscribe from. Each platform requires your credit card so that you will be automatically billed for the full subscription fee after the trial expires.
To avoid charges, you will need to cancel the trial before it expires. You’ll still be able to watch for the duration of the trial but you will not be charged when the trial ends.
If you plan to keep Showtime, there’s no need to cancel. If you’re unsure whether you’ll keep Showtime, you can always cancel and then reactivate your account when the time comes.
Cancelling Showtime during your trial differs from platform to platform. Each one lets you manage your subscription in your account settings so it should be easy to find.
Here’s how to cancel Showtime if you subscribed through their website.
1. Go to your account settings page

On the Showtime dashboard, click on the profile icon in the top right hand corner of the page to show your “Account” menu. This is also where you can go to find your list.
2. Go to your Settings page
Click on Settings to go to your settings page.

Scroll down to “Your Account” section to manage your subscription and find details of your free trial.
Click on the “Cancel Your Subscription” link.
3. Select a reason for cancelling

Like most companies, they’ll ask you why you’re cancelling and give you the option to stick around.
Just pick a reason to continue. I clicked “Changing Providers” to continue.
4. Keep cancelling

Click on “No thanks, I want to cancel” to keep on cancelling.
5. Complete the final survey

Your subscription is cancelled at this point and they reassure you that you can watch until the trial expires. You can also restart your subscription at any time.
The survey is optional but you can complete it any way to give your feedback. There is no other way to exit the page without clicking the submit button.

That is, until you get here. You can then continue to watch Showtime or return to the Settings page. I normally like to go back to the Settings page to confirm everything is cancelled.
6. Confirm that your trial is cancelled

Back in your account settings, there are about 4 tell-tale signs that you’ve cancelled your subscription.
Across the top, there is now a banner telling you to “Reactivate your subscription” so you wouldn’t miss the action.
Your subscriptions to Showtime says ‘canceling’ or “cancelled” depending on when you’re checking.
The “Cancel your subscription” link now says “Reactivate your subscription”.
Finally, your next billing date says “None” which means you wouldn’t be billed after your trial expires.
You can keep watching Showtime until your free trial expires.
