Showtime (now Paramount+ with Showtime) is a subscription video-on-demand service which carries content from it’s namesake premium television network.
Showtime has been around since the 70s but it’s streaming service which is accessible on all devices to viewers in the United States and Canada was launched in July 2015.
In 2023, Showtime and all of its content was moved to Paramount+ and now operates under the name Paramount+ with Showtime. Showtime as a standalone streaming service no longer exists.
On Paramount+ with Showtime, viewers can watch originals, theatrically released movies and shows as well as pay-per-view boxing, MMA fights and live events from CBS.
You can try Showtime with a 7-day free trial of Paramount+ by choosing the Paramount+ with Showtime plan when you’re signing up.

How To Get Showtime Free Trial
Since Showtime is now bundled in with Paramount+, you can only get a 7-day free trial instead of the previously available 30-day free trial that Showtime offered.
You can no longer get Showtime through it’s website but you can get it through Paramount+ and through the other services that carry that streamer.

Signing Up for Showtime Free Trial
In this section, I’m going to show you how easy it is to sign up for a Showtime free trial using some of the services above.
Some of the services also give a free trial and then you’ll have to find Paramount+ with Showtime in the addons or premium channels list and then start the free trial. In some cases you’ll be able to stream Showtime’s live linear channels.

Sign Up Directly With Paramount+
There are a few advantages to signing up for a Paramount+ with Showtime free trial directly through their website.

- No other trials to worry about or services to pay for
Visit the website and click on the “Try It Free” button to get going.
1. Choose the Paramount+ with Showtime plan
The first step is to choose your plan. There are two plans on Paramount+, but if you want to get access to Showtime then there is only one plan to choose – the Paramount+ with Showtime plan.
You can choose to pay monthly or annually by toggling the button at the top. Then click “Select Plan” under the Paramount+ with Showtime plan.
2. Create your account
Next, fill in the registration form to create an account. You’ll need to add your full name, email address, choose a secure password, add your zip code, birthdate and gender.
You can uncheck or leave checked the box that asks your permission to send marketing communication. Press the continue button to go to the next step.
3. Enter your billing info
The next step is to enter your credit card info. You can also use PayPal if you prefer.
On the left side of the form, some information about your free trial is displayed. You’ll see the date when your trial expires which is the date you should cancel by if you don’t want your subscription to automatically renew.
On this page you’ll also get to apply any coupon codes if you have one.
Click on the “Start Paramount+” button to continue start streaming.
Get Showtime With Hulu
If you already have Hulu or you’re planning to get it, you can add Paramount+ Showtime and other premium channels as addons.
This allows you to watch Showtime and Hulu content all in one place although you can watch using the Paramount+ app as well.
Paramount+ with Showtime on Hulu costs $11.99 after a 7-day free trial. This fits right inside of Hulu’s own 30-day free trial so if you’re new to the streaming service, you can get two trials in one.
Here’s how to add Paramount+ with Showtime on Hulu once you’re a Hulu subscriber.

Then follow the steps below.
- In the top right hand corner of the site, click on your name.
- Click on “Account”
- Click on “Manage Addons”
- Find Paramount+ with Showtime and click the button to add it to your subscription.
You’ll be taken to a confirmation page where you’ll see details of your free trial and costs after the trial expires.
Confirm and continue to start watching Paramount+ Showtime on Hulu with your free 7-day trial.
Add Paramount+ with Showtime on Prime Video Channels
If you’re an Amazon Prime member then you have access to Prime Video. With Prime Video channels, you can add from up more than 150 channels and get a free trial of 7 days from each of them.
This includes Paramout+ with Showtime which you can watch right inside your Prime Video account or the app.
To add Paramount+ on Prime Video, you’ll need to have a Prime or Prime Video subscription. Then just follow the steps.
- Go to the Paramount+ channel page in Prime Video
- Click on the “More details” button on the channel banner
- On the next page, click on “Continue ”
- Choose the Paramount+ with Showtime plan
- Confirm your detail son the next page then click “Start your free trial”
You’ll wouldn’t be charged until your free trial expires and you can watch all of Showtime’s content and live feeds.
Get Showtime with FuboTV
Previously, FuboTV subscribers could add a few premium channels like Showtime, Starz, and MGM+.
This isn’t the case anymore but you can still get access to Showtime.

YouTubeTV is yet another provider where you can get a free trial to Paramount+ with Showtime.
The trial time fits snugly inside YouTubeTV’s 14-day free trial duration. The service has about 20+ premium addons for you to free trial including HBO Max, Paramount+, and ALLBLK.
You can add the channel on sign up and it will be billed along with the base price if you decide to keep both YouTubeTV and Paramount+ with Showtime.

What’s On Showtime?
What can viewers expect to see on Showtime?
Showtime has a lot of content which includes older original series like Dexter, Californication and Weeds and newer ones like Billions, American Rust and Yellowjackets.
The streamer also carries theatrically released movies as well as originally produced movies. Some titles on Showtime right now include: Bitchin’: The Sound & Fury of Rick James, I,Tonya, 21 Bridges, Dark Waters, Pixie & Winters Bone.
The biggest feature they’re showing right now is the Oscar winner for Best Picture (and other categories) – Everything, Everywhere All At Once.
New content coming to Showtime includes a sequel to Dexter called Dexter: New Blood and a new series called Yellow Jackets.
If you’re into boxing and MMA then Showtime is a good place to catch some fights as they do have live Showtime Championship Boxing fights and Bellator MMA matchups. You can see past fights as well as new fights on the channel.
There are also some sports shows and documentaries available.
Showtime has some entertaining content you wouldn’t find anywhere else so it’s worth taking the free trial. You might find your new favorite show.
